art studio sewing corner before & after

another project i’ve had on my to-do list for quite some time is my sewing corner.
the other day i woke up and just decided that it was going to be THE DAY.
i jumped on my bike and rode down and bought some primer & paint.
and set to work.

the white shelf is from ikea.
the yellow one was an old one i had sitting around that i finally spray painted happy-yellow.

SO much better!

now off to decide which sewing project to take on.

Love that you are back blogging. As an artist, it is so easy to just not make anything for so long because life gets in the way…but blogs like yours inspires me to keep up my art because deep down it is what truly makes ME happy! Hope you make (sew) something fun…can’t wait to see!

How do you ‘not sew much’, but you have a pfaff?! I think you were holding out on me! Now you must show us your creations, because, knowing you, they are amazing! Sewing corner looks great. I love your sewing table!

    Hi,
I saw your blog site on someone else’s blog & decided to check it out. I’m glad I did! You are so creative & talented! I love your paintings, the colours, shapes, awesome! I really like what you did with your space. It is amazing what some paint & colour will do to totally change the mood of a room. It looks like a happy place and one you can create in. : )

So organized and creatively so… love what you did with your little sewing corner Michelle and excited to see what you’re going to sew now!

  6. Oh my. I’m loving the Ikea shelf. Looks all clean and industrial and sturdy and interesting at the same time. And it is an ideal fit with the sweet little yellow shelf. Must say that I’m jonesing for a distressed frame and chicken wire to hang a few goodies now. All in all, that’s a mighty nice little sewing corner you’ve got there! Enjoy.
